- Admission, preadmission, cancel admission.

- The system records all patient demographic in Arabic and
English.
- The system generate an in house (active) patient index.
- Patient identification consist of:
- Medical Record Number (patient file No.).
- Patient Name.
- Generic Name Search
- Partial Name.
- National Number.
- Birth date.
- Tel. No.
- For the inpatient admission the system prepares a map for
the hospital floors displaying all the vacant and occupied
rooms. Occupied beds are shown with the name of the patient,
date and time of admission, the treating physician, and the
diagnosis.
- Label and Barcode
The system automatically print defined No of barcode labels
to be used on all patient files or samples.The system could print labels such as wrist label, which
contain the patient essential demographic data.
- The system allow the entry of:
- All demographic data.
- Related files in the hospital (wife, suns,..).
- Diagnosis
- Admitting physician
- Referring physician
- Medical insurance provider
- Medical service that will be provided for the patient
- The system allow the transfer of the patient from room to
room or to the anther section in the hospital or to the ICU, CCU… etc.
■ Reservation (Scheduling)
- The system allow on-line appointment scheduling.
- The system allow on-line access of previously scheduled
appointments.
- This module is responsible for all the reservations of
the clinics and departments of the hospital.
- It displays a schedule of the availability of doctors in
the clinics for each day and shifts of the week.
- The ability to make reservations at any department in the
hospital, (clinics, x-ray, tests...etc.) and generating
daily reports about some or all previous reservations.
- It has the ability to assign appointments by telephone.
- It display reservations of departments, clinics or
doctors during a period of time.
- The system print appointment schedules:
- By procedure.
- By type of performing machines.
- By ordering doctor,
- By performing doctor/technician.
- By patient,
- By department or section.
■ Out-Patient Clinics
- The system allow user designing of the medial sheet for
each speciality.
- The system allow the convert of an Emergency or
Outpatient visit into the Inpatient and transferring all
clinical data to the nurse station.
- Patient Sheet (each patient could have multiple sheets
sorted by date).
- Adding patient Complains.
- Adding patient Medical History.
- Adding patient Medical Examinations.
- Adding patient Investigations.
- Adding patient Diagnosis and printing the precautions
related to diagnosis.

and time, patient name, specialty, doctor name, service

- Issuing a card, which contains the patient’s name,
number, address and the medical insurance provider.
■ Pharmacy
- This module is dedicated for the management of the
hospital pharmacy and sub pharmacies.
- The system contains drug database contain over 18,000
drugs and consumables with full information (price,
commercial discount, supplying company, package, sales
tax... etc). It has been updated in Sep. 2002.
- System allows addition of new items or modifying previous
entered items.
- The system use the in house (active) patient index.
- The system support multi-pharmacy and multi-locations.
- Issuing checks for invoices where payment could be in
full or partially. It records the bank where the check is to
be drawn.
- It processes local and international barcodes. It can add
the expiry date and the supplier number. Laser printing the
barcode is also possible.
- Selling the medicine can be done using the medicine name,
medicine code, or the barcode. It tracks the expiry date so
that items with early expiry date are sold first.
- Ability to sell cash or credit, health Insurance
(designed upon the Health Insurance laws of 1979).
- The ability to sell to in-patients and keeping an account
for each room which update the master patient index
automatically.
- The system keeps track of drugs spent to different
departments in the hospital such as intensive care,
operating room or the night shift.
- The ability to keep track of medicine dispensed from
branch warehouses, hospital floors, operating room, or any
department in the hospital, and updating the patient invoice
accordingly.
- The ability of recording the balance of drugs and how
much has been dispensed and to which department in the
hospital.
- It processes the returns of items sold in either cash or
credit.
- It processes returns of purchased items or damaged items
and it updates invoices.

■ Laboratory
- The module manages the medical laboratory in the
hospital.

- Linking different test using ratios and equations (e.g.
A/G Ratio).

- This module is responsible for managing the operation
departments in the hospital.

inpatient requests.
- The following information is recorded prior to each
operation:
- Full patient data.
- Type of operation (major, minor ..etc).
- Operation.
- Surgeon, assistant,
- Anaesthetic.
- Nurse.
- Anaesthesia method.
- Operation duration.
- List of consumed items.
- Consumed items and medicines are deducted form the
inventory of the operating room. This inventory is treated
as a branch pharmacy according to the hospital system.
- Equipment used.
- The patient account is charges the cost of the consumed
items. The number of consumed items may be increased as well
as its prices and automatically updates the Master Patient
Index “MPI”.
■ In-Patient stay section
- This module is responsible for managing the in-patients
department in the hospitals.
Order Management:
- The order management facilitate the assign the order
needed for the patient by his treatingphysician.
Allow entering the following:
- Ordering physician
- Performing department
- Person entering the order.
- Date & time of entry
- Date & time order requested to be performed.
- Procedure, item, or service ordered.
- Quantity of items ordered.
- Frequency and duration.
- Type of order.
- The system allow review, edit, suspend, activate, and
cancel orders.
Nurse Station:
- Map of the rooms, patient data, and diagnosis.
- Charge patient for services such as consultation fees,
equipments, cafeteria, etc…
- Patient's Transfer room to room or department to
department
- Patient's Discharge and discharge note.
- Ordering Diet from Catering.
- Order entry for Lab, Radiology, and Blood Bank.
Operations, etc…
- Ordering room maintenance.
- Inquire about the patient Case.
- The patient ticket contains:
- Treating physician, follow-up physician, nurse..
- Patient history, medical examination, patient sheet.
- It records of doctor’s instructions and sends relevant
instructions to the concerned department for carrying out
the order. (requests for test are sent to the laboratory,
x-rays requests are to the x-ray department, meals to the
kitchen, medicine to the nurse ... etc)
- A special screen for the nurse contains the doctor
instructions.
- Displaying vital data of the patient in the form of a
diagram.
- Meal orders are sent to the kitchen daily.
- Rest Band Printing.
- Bar-Code Interface for medications and consumables.
■ Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- This section is concerned with the intensive care unit.
- A ticket with the following information is filled out for
a patient (same as in-patients section):
- Patient data.
- Treating and resident doctors and the nurse.
- Treating doctor, on call doctor, nurse.
- Complaints of the patient.
- Patient sheet.
- The cost for using equipment is added to the patient
invoice, such as, DC Shook, ECG, Ventilator… etc.
- The ICU warehouse is a branch warehouse of the main
warehouse. Medicines and consumables are dispensed from the
ICU warehouse and its inventory is updated. The cost
automatically updates the Master Patient Index “MPI”..
■ Kitchen \ Cafeteria
- Printing a daily menu for all patients according to
doctor’s instructions, or as desired by the patient or as
desired by the patient companions.
- Recording patient’s requests from the daily menu and
permissible food for each. The details of the patient meal
is shown on the screen as meals being distributed.
■ Accounting
- Patients accounts, with a unique accounting No.
- Patient Billing.
- Doctors accounts.
- Account payable, Account receivable.
- Medical Insurance accounting.
- Profit and loss account.
- Record of assets and depreciation in each department and
unit.
■ Purchasing
- Suppliers card and information on items supplied.

■ Inventory
- Ability to maintain several branch warehouses in the
hospital, such as, operating room warehouse, ICU
warehouse... etc.

- Displaying the minimum limit of the balance at which
reorder is activated.
